Just Beginning

Hi ladies!


Just an intro to a new mom's group that will be meeting at SKIA, Wednesday's @ 1pm. 
SKIA has a fabulous little play area for children, so please bring your kids and enjoy some relaxing mommy time!
Our group is called A Minute For Mommy just as this blog is titled.  There is a book out by a local author, Berkli Binns, with this same tittle.  And guess what?  The author will even be at our March 16th meeting!

How this group came to be.....
Two friends got together and wanted to have a study together.  When they had their first meeting, they both discovered that within each other, the original idea of the group had changed into a much larger vision.  A God sized vision.   While discussing what this would en-tale they found the book A Minute For Mommy....well actually one of them picked it up not really paying attention, went to the other side of the store checking on her children, looked down at the book she had in her hand, showed it to her friend....and the rest is history.  A God thing really.  
So who is this for?  Well, if you're a mom...YOU!  Whether you are a SAHM or a working mom who wants to come during her lunch hour, this group is for you.  It's a group for the churched, the unchurched, the tired and weary, the excited and positive.  It's for any Mom who wants encouragement, prayer, and to be nurtured by other Mom's.  Your age does not matter.  Your kids ages do not matter.  Maybe you have had miscarriages....you're still a Mom.  Maybe you adopt...It's for YOU too.  Whatever season of motherhood you are in!  Whether you live in a mansion or trailer park, the suburbs or a shelter, castle or a crackerbox.  We are here for You.
